Microneedling

When we get older our skin tends to sag and become tired looking. Fine lines, wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, changes in texture and tone and a variety of other factors are also issues we may face but Microneedling therapy is an effective treatment that combats all of these issues.

What is Microneedling Therapy?

Microneedling therapy is called skin needling. It is also known as Collagen Induction therapy (CIT) and Percutaneous Collagen Induction (PCI). Overall, it is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation process that involves a device containing fine needles. The fine needles puncture the targeted skin to create a controlled wound. Each tiny wound created by the needles trigger the body into producing new collagen and elastin to fill and heal the microscopic wounds. This process is called neovascularization and neocolllagenesis which results in improved skin texture and firmness as well as a noticeable reduction in scars, stretch marks and pores.
